Jetstream Aviation Academy ATO expands its global presence by providing pilot training on the ATR 42/72 600 using flight simulators in Bangkok. From the beginning of this year the type rating training, provided under the DGCA regulations, has been conducted using Jetstream approvals and with selected instructors who are, both highly experienced and airline captains current on type. The 15 days theoretical training takes place in one of our partner centers, either in India or in Bangkok, followed by 15 days simulator training in Bangkok.
CEO Captain John Diskos commented: “As the modern ATR 600 aircraft are delivered to India’s airline operators, the demand for pilot training is high. The decision to use flight simulators in Bangkok for the ATR 600 was due to the high quality of the simulators and the convenience of the short distance from India. We train our pilots to the highest level, taking great pride in associating with the best quality simulator centers around. We are able to comprehensively provide the training needs of all ATR operators in India and overseas. Jetstream ATO will be providing client-customised training as well as the training and checks required by regulation. This arrangement provides the opportunity for operators to outsource to Jetstream the often costly check and training functions. Being able to conduct the type training and checks for our pilots next to Bangkok airport allows us to significantly reduce the expenditure and time that would otherwise be incurred for crews engaged in training”.
